Geert Ooms has been busy lately ‘cause there’s a few nice new products coming your way at the show!
Bouncing bobbins
A new bobbin design that has initially been used for the Kempisch Kanaal meeting earlier in 2024. The compact and nicely rounded shaped body is available in two different materials. There’s the translucent 8 gram version that’s available in five different vibrant colors and suitable for 11x3mm isotopes and there’s the anodized 17,5 gram version that will win many hearts with the subtle appealing colors. These definitely will be put to good use by those fishing at range or flowing waters when optimal bite indication is required.
D-tension lineclips
A stainless hinged and adjustable lineclip is exactly what the D-tension lineclip is. Bringing a hinged version of an adjustable lineclip is a serious breakthrough in the world of bite indication.
This clip has oval beads to make the clipping on the line easier and at the same time allows a smoother line release. Even with wet and cold fingers, the lineclip can be effortlessly clipped onto the line. By adjusting the tensioning colar -up for more pressure, down for less pressure- both ultrathin braided lines as thick mono or fluorocarbon lines can be used whilst always having the right pressure on the clip. As a last but really important feature, there’s the hinge. This hinge allows the clip, thus the bobbin, to sit in the most ideal position. This advantage shows clearly when fishing slack lines or registering drop backs.
These D-tension lineclips are entirely designed and assembled by Geert and all parts are produced Belgium and Holland which makes this product even more special. Next to the regular stainless version, there will regularly be a batch of black D-tension lineclips available. Because of the difficult handling after the surface treatment, it won’t be a permanent item in our range though.
Color caps
Some of the popular models in the geertooms.com range now also come with colored end-caps. We now have Shadow Chasers in red, green, blue and deep purple with matching color caps. Also Dumpy Stingers that can be fitted with the colored caps of your choice. Going for a touch of color? Don’t wait too long as stock is limited.
Oomsie’s Dirty Secret pop-ups | Forgotten Flavours collab
It’s no secret that Forgotten Flavours and geertooms.com go along perfectly. Both Dieter and Geert share the same vision when it comes to product quality, customer service, ethics and loyalty. Carrying out that vision they join forces on many fronts. A first step was the launch of the Oomsie’s Dirty Secret pop-ups that smoothly made their way to many carpanglers putting them to good use. This limited edition pop-ups will most likely sell out at Carp Den Bosch so don’t hesitate too long if you want them.
